  • Add the ubiquiti depository

  • Update and Install with apt-get

  • Go to the controllers web interface on port 8443 and follow simple setup.

Automated Backup

Below is an example of how you could backup a UniFi Controller on a Linux Host.

  • Install Required Packages
apt-get install curl
  • Place the below script on the backup machine, such as /usr/bin/unifi_controller_back.sh

Hardware

UAP

802.11n MIMO Access Point, our most affordable unit. Capable of 300+Mbps speeds and links of up to 400 ft.

UniFi AP (the standard version) uses two integrated antenna and supports 2x2 MIMO with spatial diversity. The gain is about 3-4 dB. The maximum tx power is 23 dBm (200mW).

UAP-LR

Link 50% further than the base model UAP with UAP-LR. 802.11n MIMO, 300+Mbps speeds, 600ft range.
